The Thomas Group


Here's an album so rare that it doesn't even exist. I comped it from the best sources I could find. Although this Dunhill band never went very far (not even far enough to make a full record), they did appear on Ed Sullivan, they had songwriting help from P.F. Sloan and Steve Barri, and members of the Wrecking Crew - Hal Blaine on drums, Joe Osborne on bass and Larry Knechtel on keyboards - provided backup. Despite all that, oblivion awaited.

    As far as I know, their album is unreleased, although a couple of tracks have surfaced on Now Sounds' "Book a Trip" comp.

    Hi there. just discovered your wonderful blog, thanks so much for making all this great music availible. Any chance of re upping this one? Loved their song "Ordinary Girl" on Fading Vol 15 would love to hear a whole album of them. Thanks in advance :)

    Drummer and leader of the group was the son of Danny Thomas, a popular entertainer from 60s television
